Warburg Institute Ernst Kitzinger and the Making of Medieval Art History: Volume 30 (Warburg Institute Colloquia)

This volume brings together the papers given at the colloquium held at the Warburg Institute to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ernst Kitzinger. His work has been, and still is, fundamentally influential on the present-day discipline of art history in a wide range of topics. The first half of the book is primarily biographical, whilst the second half is devoted to examining Kitzinger's scholarship, including his preoccupation with the theory of style.
