She has also taught at the universities of Salford, Frankfurt, Princeton, Paderborn, Regensburg, Mainz, Erfurt, Bochum and Greifswald. She has written three books and co-edited two, among them Jungfrau und Monster (1996), Shelley's German Afterlives 1814 - 2000 (2007) and The Reception of P B Shelley in Europe (2008). Her research interests include eighteenth- and nineteenth-century literature and culture. Barbara Schmidt-Haberkamp is Professor of English at the University of Bonn. Her areas of specialization include eighteenth-century British literature and culture and postcolonial studies. She served on the board of the German Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies and organized that Society's annual conference in 2008 on the topic of 'Europe and Turkey in the Eighteenth Century'. A selection of the conference papers was published with Bonn UP in 2011.
