Delamination is a phenomenon that is of critical importance to the composite industry. It involves a breakdown in the bond between the reinforcement and the matrix material of the composite. With growing use of composites in aerospace and other sectors, understanding delamination is essential for preventing catastrophic failures. This important book reviews the phenomenon of delamination in composites. Part 1 focuses on delamination as a mode of failure. Part 2 covers testing of delamination resistance, while part 3 analyses detection and characterisation.
