About the Author Emilian Kavalski is Associate Professor of Global Studies at Australian Catholic University, Australia. His research focuses on European politics, especially the enlargement, common foreign and security policy, and external relations of the EU, as well as on the interactions between China, India and the European Union in Central Asia.
