The Commentatio quaedam theologica of Florentius Volusenus (c.1504-c.1557) is a religious and philosophical work of the Renaissance, cast in the form of rhetorical aphorisms. Florentius Volusenus, an admirer of Erasmus, was a humanist scholar in London, Paris, Carpentras and Lyon, coinciding with Cardinal Wolsey, Thomas More, Thomas Cromwell, Jacopo Sadoleto, Sebastian Castellio and Barthélemy Aneau. The present book is the first-ever edition, translation and study of his Commentatio quaedam theologica.
