This publication follows on from the tale told in the 2022 Amazon Best Seller, The Long Walk to Glastonbury, in which three intrepid hippies set out in May 1973 on a mildly spiritual quest for the soul of Ancient Albion by walking from Reading to Glastonbury via the Ridgeway, Avebury, the Vale of Pewsey and Stonehenge – the touching, humorous and entrancing day to day tale of their journey based on a diary kept, but forgotten, for fifty years. The book told of the six weeks they spent living out of doors on frugal means, their hardships and triumphs, their spiritual insights and their musings on life, the universe and everything. The diary’s story was enhanced with the reminiscences and observations of the participants as they looked back on The Long Walk to Glastonbury fifty years later. Following an enthusiastic response from readers, this new version, The Fantastical Long Walk to Glastonbury, now incorporates an eclectic mix of poems, photographs, paintings and drawings from keen collaborators, as well as further reflections from the three participants, who are now elders in their grand hippy dotage.
