Il volume è dedicato da amici e colleghi alla compianta Sara Santoro, che è stata una archeologa di fama ed una studiosa poliedrica, che ha insegnato a Bologna, Parma e Chieti e ha lavorato alacremente in Italia, Francia ed Albania. Il testo presenta una serie di contributi che sono organizzati in sei sezioni, che corrispondono ai principali interessi di Sara e che sono editi dai suoi colleghi presso l’Università G.d’Annunzio di Chieti-Pescara. La prima sezione, Semata, Schemata and Topoi, è a cura di O.Menozzi ed è dedicata a studi iconografici, filologici e di Storia dell’Arte. La seconda parte, a cura di S.Antonelli, è dedicata a contributi e ricerche sull’Adriatico. La terza sezione, che è incentrata su ricerche e studi sul campo, è stata curata da M.Moderato. M.C. Mancini cura la quarta sezione su valorizzazione e progettazione nei Beni Culturali. La quinta sezione, a cura di M.C.Somma, è dedicata ai cosiddetti ‘centri minori’ e analizza ruolo e network di tali insediamenti. La sesta sezione è incentrata su metodologie e scienze applicate ai Beni Culturali ed è curata da V.La Salvia.; Archaeologiae una storia al plurale is dedicated to the late Sara Santoro by her friends and colleagues. Sara was an archaeologist and a multifaceted scholar, teaching at the Universities of Bologna, Parma and Chieti and working actively in Italy, France and Albania. The volume presents a series of contributions organised in six sections that correspond to the main interests of Sara, and which are edited by her colleagues at the University G. d'Annunzio of Chieti-Pescara. The first section, Semata, Schemata and Topoi includes studies on iconography, philology and history of art. Section II, Archeologia in Adriatico, is dedicated to contributions on Adriatic studies. The third section, Progetti e Ricerche, is dedicated to field research. Next, section IV, Valorizzazione, Progettazione, Disseminazione, focuses on valorisation and planning in cultural heritage. A fifth section, Insediamento Minore, concentrates on so-called 'minor' settlements, and their roles and networks. The final section, La metodologia e le scienze nella ricerca archeologica, is dedicated to methodologies in archaeology and to the application of sciences to cultural heritage.
