This volume features up-to-date studies and comparison of regional integration efforts of the EU, China, and Russia in the Greater Eurasia with the special interest in the complicated relations among the EU, EAEU, and BRI. The complexity in relations combines cooperation impetus with global competition over economically promising regions such as Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The departure point is the realization of the "from Lisbon to Vladivostok" cooperation concept raised in the mid-1990s and then reiterated in 2011 and 2015. Since 2013, the globalized world witnesses the development of at least two Eurasian projects of economic integration – Eurasian Union and the Belt and Road Initiative. These initiatives blur the EU Global Strategy adjusted in 2016 to be an attempt to reconsider and enhance the role and place of the EU as the leader on the global arena. The BREXIT in January 2020 questions the idea of internal integrity and solid determination to the EU integration based on common European values. This trend clearly points at regionalization as the prioritized economic and then political strategies among leading states.
