About the Author Raffaella Sette, PhD in criminology, is senior researcher within the Department of Sociology of the University of Bologna (Italy) and she teaches "Criminal sociology" within the Faculty of Political Sciences and "Criminology" within the Faculty of Psychology. She is author of a large number of articles and essays concerning the sociology of the deviance, the criminology and the victimology. She is coordinator of the Editorial Board of the Criminology, Victimology and Security Journal, and since 2002, she is expert member of the Court of Surveillance of Bologna (Italy).
