This is the first biography of Dorothy Morland (1906-1999) the first and only female Director of the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London. It tells the story of the modernist network which Morland was part of from the 1930s until the 1970s. She was painted by Mark Gertler and danced with Picasso.
