He has recently completed his doctorate in Applied Psychology, and was a Visiting Doctoral Student at the Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University, UK. He has published several articles in peer-review journals on the topic of justice psychology. Ângela Maia is Lecturer in Applied Psychology at the University of Minho, Portugal, where she is also Vice President of the School of Psychology and coordinates the Research Unit on Victims, Offenders and the Justice System. She has led research projects funded by the Foundation of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defence.
