About the Author Krassimir Dotchev is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and CAD/CAM in the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering, University of Portsmouth. His academic and research interests encompass the area of CAD/CAM in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design and Additive Manufacturing. He was a team leader in many research and industrial projects in the area of rapid product development and manufacturing. He has more than 20 years' experience with CAD/CAM and Creo™ Parametric as essential enabling technology. Krassimir holds a PhD and Dipl. Eng. in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has published more than 50 technical papers in journals and conference proceedings.Ivan Popov is a Principal Lecturer in Manufacturing Engineering in the School of Mechanical and Design Engineering, University of Portsmouth. He has industrial experience in Engineering Design and Manufacturing. Currently he is responsible for teaching Quality Management and CAD/CAM related modules. His research interests are in Reverse Engineering, Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineering. Dr Popov was involved in several industrial projects related to Reverse Engineering and CAD/CAM systems. He has many years of experience as an advanced user of Creo (former ProEngineer). Ivan holds a MEng and PhD in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has published more than 15 journal papers and conference proceedings on Manufacturing Engineering, CAD/CAM and Reverse Engineering.
