Anne's house of dreams Anne's House of Dreams is the fifth book in the Anne of Green Gables series by L. M. Montgomery. It centres on 25-year-old Anne Shirley, who has just married Gilbert Blythe and settled into a lovely house in Four Winds. Anne of Ingleside Anne has left her beloved House of Dreams and has set up house in an old place called Ingleside. She is now the mother of six children (Jem, Walter, Nan, Di, Shirley, and Rilla). Rainbow Valley Unlike the first six, this book centres on Anne and Gilbert's children (Jem, Walter, Nan and Di mainly) and their friends, the four Meredith children (Jerry, Faith, Una and Carl) as well as a runaway named Mary Vance. Rilla of Ingleside Rilla of Ingleside is the eighth book in the Anne of Green Gablesseries by L. M. Montgomery. It centres on fourteen-year-old Rilla Blythe during World War I, known then as the 'Great War'.
