Victory at Sea, NBC-TV's award-winning 1952-53 WWII documentary series, used wartime footage sourced from fourteen nations. Though its much-loved music was credited to Richard Rodgers as composer, with Robert Russell Bennett named as arranger-conductor, Ferencz establishes that Rodgers composed twelve piano themes, which Bennett developed endlessly, and that Bennett also composed many hours of the orchestra score outright.
