Computational Intelligence in Data Mining

The artificial intelligence has experienced remarkable advances in the last decades and has reached maturity as a research field, its sibling, computational creativity, is in earlier phases of its development. In our society the amount of data doubles almost every year. It is a great challenge to deal Big Data. Hence, there is an urgent need for a new generation of computationally intelligent techniques and tools to assist humans in extracting useful information (knowledge) from the rapidly growing volume of data. This book investigates the knowledge about innovative, active research directions in the field of data mining, machine and computational intelligence, in consort with current issues and applications of related topics. It includes research issues of developments of data mining and applications as well as addresses the difficulties and challenges of computational intelligence methods. Understanding the big data is very tedious task that reflects into revolutionary change in research methodology as well as tools to be employed in various applications.
