Description
The study of lands, inhabitants, features, physical properties and phenomena of the Earth and other planets is known as geography. It is considered as an all-encompassing field which seeks to understand the Earth and its natural and human complexities. Physical geography is the study of the Earth's landforms, soil, climate, seasons, streams, atmosphere and oceans. Human geography comprises of human, cultural, political, economic and social aspects. The branch of geography which describes the special aspects of interactions between individuals, society and their natural environment is called integrated geography. Four interrelated approaches are used for the study of geography. They are systematic, regional, descriptive and analytical approaches. A wide range of techniques are used within this discipline which include ethnographical research techniques, geostatistics, remote sensing, geographic information systems, etc. This book provides comprehensive insights into the field of geography. Such selected concepts that redefine this field have been presented in it. Those in search of information to further their knowledge will be greatly assisted by this book.
