There have been very rapid advances in scientific, technical, clinical, and administrative areas of transfusion medicine since the beginning of this millennium, which need to be propagated among the workers in the field. A total of eighty authors across the globe have contributed fifty chapters in this three-volume textbook. Translating scientific advances to the patient creates an exciting environment for training. The textbooks in transfusion medicine are expensive for students and workers from developing countries. To achieve cost efficiency, this book is divided into three volumes: Organization and Management, Basics of Blood Bank Practices, and Good Clinical Transfusion Practices. This compilation will serve as a textbook for graduate and post-graduate students in transfusion medicine, hematology (and transplantations), laboratory technology, biotechnology, clinical nursing, anesthesiology, internist, and management students in healthcare services.
