Cloud computing has evolved to address the availability of computing services and resources anywhere, anytime, and on any device. In particular, computing hardware and software often gets outdated and, hence, it is wise to outsource computing resources and to manage their IT infrastructures outside of their company premises, which is more cost-effective than is the case at present. Cloud computing is emerging rapidly and software as a service paradigm has increasing its demand for more services. However, it is crucial to maintain and manage this growth in such way that the cloud technology remains cost efficient. This book provides advances in cloud computing ranging from large-scale applications, business services, financial services, to small-scale applications. This book also provides insights into energy saving methods for cloud computing paradigms. This book consists of two parts. Part 1 provides good practices on cloud applications including Agile approaches to cloud computing and Part 2 provides good practices on green cloud and energy efficient cloud computing models.
