Guidelines include: proactive quitlines; combining counselling and medication relative to either counselling or medication alone; varenicline; various medication combinations; long-term medications; cessation interventions for individuals with low socio-economic status/limited formal education; as well as cessation interventions for adolescent and pregnant smokers.
