Environmental Stewardship & Ecological Protection (Environmental Science, Engineering and Technology)

There is increasing recognition of the numerous and important services that ecosystems provide to human populations, such as flood protection, water purification, and climate control. Protecting ecological systems and services is part of the EPA's core mission. This book describes how the EPA can use an "expanded and integrated approach" to ecological valuation to encourage greater collaboration among a wide range of disciplines, including ecologists, economists at each step of the valuation process.
