About the Author Lizhe Wang currently is the assistant director of the Service Oriented Cyberinfrastructure Lab at Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Wang received his Bachelor and Master Degree from Tsinghua University, (China) and Doctor Degree from University Karlsruhe (German elite University), Germany, in 1998, 2001, and 2007 respectively. Dr. Wangï¿½ï¿½s research interests include parallel & distributed computing, cluster & Grid computing, and distributed information retrieval. Dr. Wang has published 3 books and more than 30 research papers at international conference and scientific journals. Jinjun Chen received his PhD degree in computer science and software engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne (Australia, in 2007). He is currently a lecturer in Centre for Complex Software Systems and Services in the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies at Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia). His research interests include scientific workflow management, service oriented computing (engineering, planning, negotiation, agreement, verification and validation), workflow management and application in cloud computing environments, web services environments and generic service oriented computing environments, reliable workflow software systems, cloud computing. Wei Jie has been actively involved in the area of Parallel and Distributed Computing for many years, and published about fourty papers in international journals and conferences. His current research interests include grid computing and applications, decurity in distributed computing, parallel and distributed algorithms and languages, etc. Dr Wei Jie joined the University of Manchester (UK) on February 2007. Prior to this, Dr Wei Jie was a Senior Research Engineer at Singapore's National Institute of High Performance Computing. He received his BEng and MEng in Computer Science from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (China) in 1993 and 1996, respectively. In 2002 he was awarded PhD in Computer Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
