Description

This software allows the user to investigate the properties of generic single and multicarrier signals and to apply the results to the design of specific types of linear power amplifiers, such as those used in modern wireless and satellite communication systems. The software provides an overview of the important characteristics of multicarrier signals in the third-generation (3G) systems, such as WCDMA, cdma2000 and GSM EDGE. It can also be used to analyze fourth-generation (4G) systems, which will require linear amplifiers that are capable of handling multicarrier signals with mixed modulation formats - for example, both TDMA and CDMA. Written by the author of "Feedforward Linear Power Amplifiers", this software covers: solving complicated mathematical problems associated with multicarrier signals; calculating design parameters for linear-power amplifiers; understanding how different interdependent parameters interact; and investigating the effect of different configurations and parameter settings. An electronic user's manual is included with the CD-ROM.
