The field of pediatric nutrition has developed into an area essential to components of academic pediatric program throughout the world. This edition of this textbook continues to be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive and accessible approach to pediatric nutrition. Sections include basic concepts in the development of nutritional requirements of infants and children and a pathophysiology section examining cardinal manifestations and development. These sections will augment a comprehensive approach to perinatal nutrition, nutrition of specific disease states and nutritional management.
