The Author has written an interesting and colorful autobiography that includes not only his personal story, but what amounts to family photo albums and some current events at each stage of his life, providing some insight into the culture that helped shape his life.There are also "foreshadows" that give hints of what events are to occur later in his life.Each chapter is dedicated to a life period, such as his first years of life in his birthplace, Houston, Texas, where he observed divine healing in his grand-uncles church, the years living with his mother's parents in California while his father served as an Army Chaplain in WWII, his early teens in the post-war years as a "preacher's kid" in his father's church in California, his college years, and so forth.There are "journeys" as he passes through the various stages of life. Not only the usual growing pains into adult hood, adjustments to marriage and family life, but also times of introspection about career, and of greater importance to him, his quest for spiritual truth. All of this is intertwined with his career advancements in the early stage of the development of computers, many travel experiences, including five months with his wife and two young daughters on a remarkable around-the-world adventure where "God shows up," and insights into his spiritual quests.His stated intent is to leave a record of his life for his grandchildren and those who follow them in his family line, and also to proclaim the influence of God in his life. To that end, he attempts to clearly show the decision-making points in his life where God's influence was obvious to him. The mid-career leaves of absences from his job (totaling about five years) to engage in volunteer Christian ministry are especially important to him in this regard.
