She has participated in several national and European research projects, and authored numerous books, book chapters and articles. Augusto Gamuzza is Assistant Professor in Sociology at the Department of Education of the University of Catania, Italy, and Researcher at Istituto di Sociologia Internazionale di Gorizia, Italy. His current research interests are oriented around the study of alternative social forms, cosmopolitanism and identity. Anna Maria Leonora is a Researcher in Sociology at the Department of Education of the University of Catania, Italy. Her main research interests are solidarity and socialization processes, non-standard forms of socialization and educational processes. Adam K. Gogacz is a Researcher in Pedagogy, Cultural and Multicultural Education at the Institute of Educational Sciences of the University of Social Sciencesin Lodz, Poland.
