About the Author John W. Bibber is the Chairman for the Subcommittee on Conversion Coatings for the American Society for Testing and Materials. He is currently employed as the Laboratory and Research Director at Sanchem, Inc., Chicago, USA. He holds a BSc in Chemistry from Shippensburg University, USA, and a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Georgia, USA. He has over thirty patents on the surface treatment of metals and their alloys, has taught at a number of universities in the USA, and has published a number of articles on the surface treatment of metals.
