Product Description Today, an enormous amount of research is devoted to immobilizing ionic liquid (IL) for electrochemical applications, due to its potential as an excellent substitute for liquid electrolytes. Among the more well-known strategies, entrapping IL in the polymer matrix can be considered as a feasible, low cost method for large scale production of ionogel. The versatility of both IL and polymer chemistry allows us to develop an infinite number of ionogels. About the Author Safna Hussan KP is a doctoral research scholar in Department of Physics at the University of Calicut, India, having earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics from the same institution in 2010 and 2012 respectively. She is currently involved in the research of ionic liquids with potential electrochemical and pharmaceutical applications. She is an internationally-renowned scholar with many journal articles to her credit. Dr Mohamed Shahin Thayyil is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Calicut, India. He holds a PhD and a postdoctoral degree in Physics, and has published around 45 papers and acted as editor for one book.
