Description

This book provides readers with a holistic picture of government reform activity in four countries―namely, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam―located in East and Southeast Asia. The case study of each country offers a detailed understanding of their respective reform trajectories and the context within which actions have been taken. About the Author Dr Seung-Ho Kwon received his PhD from the School of Industrial Relations and Organisational Behaviour at the University of New South Wales in 1997. He is a founding member and Executive Director of the Korea Research Institute at the University of New South Wales, established in 2000. He has played an instrumental role in establishing the Korean Studies Association of Southeast Asia consisting of the leading national universities from eight Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Laos). His research interests include state and economic development, cultural industry, state capacity and public policy, globalisation strategies and Asian multinational corporations and employment relations and public-sector reform.
