This book represents a crucial resource for students taking a required statistics course who are intimidated by statistical symbols, formulae, and daunting equations. The application of statistics in social research has recently become imperative. About the Author Raghubar D. Sharma is an award-winning Public Sector Forecaster who was a Senior Statistical Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Education. He has taught introductory statistics at the University of Alberta, the University of Manitoba, and the University of Toronto, all in Canada. He has also held research positions at York University, Canada, and at an overseas research centre of Johns Hopkins University. He received his MA from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, and his PhD from the University of Alberta, Canada. His book, Poverty in Canada, was published in 2012.
