She is the author of The Gothic Child (2013), and has contributed to several editions children in literature, including Global Perspectives on Death in Children’s Literature (edited by Lesley Clement and Leyli Jamali, 2015). Most recently, she has contributed to The Cambridge Guide to the Eighteenth-Century Novel, 1660–1820 (edited by April London, 2017) with entries on Elizabeth Bonhote’s contribution to the sentimental and gothic genre. She has taught English language in France and Kuwait, and is currently working in Bulgaria.
