About the Author P. Sumathy is Assistant Professor at Department of Computer Science, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. She has completed M.Sc in Computer Science, M.Phil in Computer Science and Ph.D in the area of Image Retrieval. She has around 10 years of teaching experience and 7 years of research experience. She specializes in Content based Image Retrieval, Multimedia Information Retrieval and Data Mining. She has published several research papers in national and international journals of repute.P. Shanmugavadivu is currently the Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Applications, at Gandhigram Rural Institute (Deemed University), and is involved in Teaching, Research, and Extension. She is the Local Coordinator for the University, for the Global Initiative of Academic Networks of MHRD, India. Dr. Pichai has 25+ years of Academic experience, and has guided/guiding Research Scholars, and funded-research projects of UGC, DST and ICMR. She has conducted a national conference, trainings, and workshops, and has delivered 80+ lectures as Keynote Speaker, Chief Guest, and Guest Lecturer. She has edited three volumes of research publications and two national journals, and authored about 100 research publications. Recipient of Indo-US 21st Century Knowledge Initiative Award 2015. She had been on an international academic assignment in Malaysia and USA. Dr. Pichai holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Regional Engineering College, Trichy, Ph.D. in Digital Image Restoration, and MBA.A. Vadivel is currently working as Associate Professor at Department of Computer Science Engineering, SRM University, Amaravathi. He has completed his M.Tech and Ph. D in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has around 11 years of Teaching Experience and 17 years of research experience. He has received Fast Track – Young Scientist Award by DST in 2007 and Indo-Us Research Fellow Award by Indo-US Science and Technology Forum in 2008. Also he received Obama-Singh Knowledge Initiative Award in 2013. He is the reviewer of many reputed journals like Elsevier, PAAA Springer, Imaging Science Journal, IEEE transaction on Cloud Computing, IET Computer Vision, Electronic Imaging, SPIE and IEEE Systems. Dr. A. Vadivel previously worked as Associate Professor, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli and Assistant Professor, Bharathidasan University, Trichy. He completed many funded research projects under DST, MHRD and United States – India Education Foundation. He has published around 94 research papers in reputed journals.
