Schoburgh is Associate Dean in the Faculty of the Social Sciences and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Government, at The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus where she teaches courses in public and policy management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She currently coordinates the Public and Policy Management Unit. Her general area of academic specialisation is public policy analysis and management with special focus on comparative subnational government/governance; subnational/local (economic) development. Current research interests are comparative public administration/policy/management, comparative local governance and local economic development, organisational change and development and public (policy) sector reform. She has twenty-two (22) publications among which are two books and several journal articles that have appeared in leading international and regional journals.Roberta Ryan is a leading social researcher and policy, program evaluation and stakeholder engagement practitioner with over 30 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors. With a strong interest in the relationship between people and places she has worked in and with local government in areas of community services, strategic planning, land use planning, sustainability, organisational change and development and citizen engagement. Roberta is the Director of the Institute for Public Policy and Governance (UTS:IPPG) and the UTS Centre for Local Government (UTS:CLG) at the University of Technology Sydney.
