Beginning with gendered experiences and encounters with law enforcement, through courts, corrections, and even death, the authors examine the multitude of barriers and disparities faced by participants from both sides of the justice system. In twenty-one comprehensive chapters, categorized into five units, the authors conclude their work by discussing future directions in gendered focused research and programming.
