About the Author Walter Miszczenko completed his master's degree in Russian and Slavic studies and United States diplomatic history at the University of Washington and went on to pursue additional graduate studies in United States and European history. Professor Miszczenko is currently a faculty member in the Department of History at the College of Western Idaho, where he teaches both traditional and online courses on western civilization, the history of World War II, and United States history.
