Although most Christians today would still acknowledge the Holy Spirit, as the third person of the Godhead, many do not know or experience the personal empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives. They have experienced the renewing work of the Holy Spirit in salvation, when they were born again, but they have not experienced the empowering work of the Spirit through the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
