From the Back Cover The purpose of Integrative Biology of Women’s Health is to discuss and identify perspective areas from basic science to clinical interventions that are critical to the future of women’s health. As of now there are critical knowledge gaps that exist in our understanding of physiological and cellular function in women that make the prediction of responses to specific interventions daunting. From a scientific evolution of understanding, the existence of research focused on women’s health is relatively new and thus there has not been enough time for new information to integrate itself into our current scientific thought process. The scientific community has made significant advancements in understanding the unique aspects of women’s health in multiple different tissues.
