A prolific author, Erasmus wrote on both ecclesiastic and general human interest subjects. Clarence H. Miller is professor emeritus in the Department of English at St. Louis University. Harry Vredeveld is Professor of German in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at The Ohio State University and co-editor of Bibliotheca Neolatina.
