Keith Taber explores the dynamic nature of subject knowledge for science teachers; it is vast and constantly evolving as it is challenged, updated and developed. He shows how recommendations from published research studies can be used as components of a toolkit for improving teaching and learning. Part II explores a range of issues facing science teachers, including: natural selection, submicroscopic particle models and circuits. Keith also discusses strategies for teaching nature of scientific knowledge and making practical work effective and challenging for gifted young scientists.
