Description

This book explores the ontology of war and peace. Using the results of empirical and theoretical research in the field of geophilosophy, as well as neuroscience, psychology, social philosophy and military history, it defines axiomatics of the theory of war and peace; formulates its consequences; tests the theory on the geophilosophy of Europe; and offers a new theoretical basis for the definition of the European Security Strategy. The text proves that war and peace are ways to achieve a regulatory compromise between manifestations of the active principle, which was initially laid in the foundation of the human mentality, and the influence of the external environment through natural selection. Review “His attempts to formulate a theory based on multiple fields in social sciences have the potential to broaden our horizons in analyzing any event. Additionally, the author highlights the role of leadership in analyzing events in several parts of the book. When considering the importance of leadership in the current system, one might say that his research might be helpful or foreign policy analyses in IR. Therefore, using geophilosophy –which is not a well-known field in the social sciences– as the methodology and aiming to develop a theory based on the current situation, Bazaluk’s effort should be esteemed.”Birkan ErtoySocial Sciences University of Ankara, Insight Turkey, 2020 About the Author Oleg Bazaluk, PhD, is a Professor, philosopher, political analyst and writer, and the author of one of the modern scientific theories of evolution, that of Evolving Matter.
