Este libro elucida sobre el mito y sus posibilidades formales dentro del mundo de la cultura. Los autores se cuestionan sobre los niveles y formas de vinculación del pensar mítico con otras formas de expresión tales como la pedagogía, la política y la filosofía misma. La finalidad es mostrar que todo recurso de conocimiento se sustenta de una concepción fundamental del mundo desde la cual fundamentar las acciones. La racionalidad científica -la legalidad que goza actualmente- debe asumirse como una forma necesaria para la comprensión del mundo, pero no la única; el mito, de igual modo, es un punto de partida valido para la construcción del mundo de la cultura. Aquí se estudia la estructura interna, modo de relación, tensiones filológicas por las que ha atravesado este símbolo, así como las aportaciones a ciertos cambios y procesos culturales con los que trabajamos cotidianamente hoy en día. A partir de ello se puede aceptar una comodidad y tranquilidad operativa, lo que ha de entenderse como el resultado de una validación epistémica de los fundamentos (míticos) que sustentan dichas acciones. About the Author Claudio César Calabrese es licenciado en Letras por la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina). Es doctor en Letras por la Universidad Del Salvador (Argentina) y doctor en Filosofía por la Universidad de Barcelona (España). Actualmente es Profesor-Investigador de tiempo completo en la Universidad Panamericana (México) en donde dirige la línea de investigación "Mito, Conocimiento y Acción." Pertenece al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (México). Su libro más reciente es Pedagogía y comunidad. La filosofía platónica de la educación. Gustavo Esparza es licenciado y maestro en Pedagogía por la Universidad Panamericana (México). Es doctor en Filosofía por la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (México). Actualmente trabaja como profesor-investigador de tiempo completo en la Universidad Panamericana, donde participa como miembro activo de la línea de investigación "Mito, Conocimiento y Acción." Pertenece al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (México). Su libro más reciente es La construcción simbólica de sí mismo. Función, símbolo y cultura en Ernst Cassirer. Ethel Junco es licenciada en Letras por la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina). Es doctora en Letras Por la Universidad Del Salvador (Argentina) y doctora en Filosofía por la Universidad de Barcelona (España). Actualmente es profesora-investigadora de tiempo completo en la Universidad Panamericana (México), donde participa como miembro activo de la línea de investigación "Mito, Conocimiento y Acción."
