About the Author Amy L. Casselman is an adjunct professor of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State University, California State University Stanislaus, and Laney College. She holds a M.A. in Ethnic Studies from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to her career in academia, Casselman was a Case Worker for the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California where she provided support services for Native children and families.
