Although classical electromagnetic (EM) field theory is typically embedded in vector calculus and differential equations, many of the basic concepts and characteristics can be understood with precursory mathematical knowledge. Example applications include hyperthermia, neural stimulation, MRI, NMR, ultrasound, and cardiac pacing/defibrillation.
