This volume is a collection of papers related to different aspects of obsidian studies (mainly geology, geochemistry, and archaeology) in Northeast Asia. Special focus is on methodological aspects of acquisition and comparison of geochemical data for obsidian sources generated by different analytical methods (NAA, XRF, ICP–MS, and EPMA) and laboratories, conducted in this region for the first time.
