Description
Product Description Environmental Law is a reference designed specifically for the practicing paralegal and the paralegal student. It is written in a style that allows the reader and professional to receive a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the legal system and the regulation of the natural world, even if they are without a prior legal background. Environmental law is a complex area, and this book takes an easy to understand approach that allows the reader a broad, basic, but complete comprehension of the field. It includes many features such as an outline of the legal processes relevant to environmental law, descriptions of federal and state law and regulations, and special features on recent topics related to environmental law. There are pertinent articles included, as well as case law and case law summaries that allow for an understanding of how environmental laws and regulations are applied and interpreted by the court system. Other learning features include a complete list of acronyms used in the field, and discussion questions that lead to further understanding of the technical aspects of the subject as well as ease of reading environmental articles. Different perspectives on environmental regulations are explored, and the book provides a current and applicable approach to the area of environmental law. Review I think the author is right on point. His observations about what is missing in the current market are correct. The currrent books are inadequate. I end up reading three books to prepare my course notes. This book seems like it would effectively combine the best features of all three texts. We do not presently offer a course in environmental law, but we are considering offering one in the future. I would definitely strongly consider using this book. About the Author Kathryn L. Schroeder is a County Attorney and a Paralegal Instructor at Colorado/Arapahoe Community College.
