About the Author Emily Tumpson Molina is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Brooklyn College, City University of New York, where she teaches courses in urban sociology, quantitative methods, and social problems. Her research interests include housing, urban studies, race and racism, quantitative and geographic methods, and social policy. Her recent work on the foreclosure crisis has appeared in the Journal of Urban Affairs, City & Community, and Housing Policy Debate.
