About the Author Dr. Ghazi Gaseem Al-Khateeb received the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and the degree of Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil Engineering/Transportation specialty from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1991 and 1994, respectively, and the doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in Civil Engineering/Transportation specialty from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA in 2001. Dr. Al-Khateeb is currently a professor at the University of Sharjah (UOS) in the United Arab Emirates (01/09/2015-present). He also served as a visiting professor at the American University of Sharjah, UAE (01/09/2014-31/08/2015). He is on leave from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). He has been on the academic staff of JUST since September of 2006. During his work at JUST, Dr. Al-Khateeb held the position of Vice Dean of Engineering for two years (09/2012-09/2014) and the Vice Director for the Consultative Center for Science and Technology (09/2009-09/2010). Before that, he worked as a senior research scientist at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC) of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in Virginia, USA for about 6 years (11/2000-09/2006).
