About the Author James D.J. Brown is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Temple University Japan. His recent publications include Japan, Russia and their Territorial Dispute (2016). Jeff Kingston is Director of Asian Studies at Temple University Japan. His recent publications include Press Freedom in Contemporary Japan (2017) and Asian Nationalisms Reconsidered (2015).
