He came to The University of Scranton in 2006 from Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he was director of graduate programs and professor of marketing. Earlier in his career he held marketing faculty positions at the State University of New York at Buffalo and Niagara University. Dr. Lord holds degrees in English, communication and marketing from the University of Utah and The Ohio State University. His research in the area of consumer behavior has led to more than 80 articles and presentations in scholarly and trade journals and conferences, more than 1,000 citations in scholarly publications and textbooks, and his ranking among the world's top advertising scholars.
