About the Author Matthew Groves was appointed to the Monash Law Faculty in 2002. Matthew was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1991. Prior to his appointment to Monash University he worked as the Legal and Policy Adviser to the Chairman of the Victorian Bar, Clerk of the Executive Council of Victoria and Associate to a Presidential of the Commonwealth Administrative Appeals Tribunal. He has also acted as a consultant legal adviser to several Victorian Parliamentary Committees. Matthew's main area of research is administrative law, particularly judicial review. He has published many books and articles on administrative law, the best known of which is the Judicial Review of Administrative Action by M. Aronson, B. Dyer and M. Groves (4th edition, 2009).
