Routledge Animal-Human Telepathic Connections: A Jungian Perspective

Animal-Human Telepathic Connections is a bold and groundbreaking exploration of the profound, instinctive and telepathic bonds between humans and animals. Williams challenges conventional thinking, offering a fresh perspective on interspecies communication and its ethical and environmental implications. The book tackles a wide range of compelling topics, from telepathic and behavioural communication with animals such as the striking example of orcas ramming boats, potentially in response to environmental destruction, to the ethics of veganism and the climate crisis. Drawing on theories like Morphic Resonance (Sheldrake), the Implicate Order (Bohm) and the Akashic Field (Laszlo), Williams weaves these ideas into Jung’s concepts of unus mundus and the anima mundi. Presenting findings from bespoke research projects, she interrogates how practitioners incorporate animals into therapeutic settings, exploring therapy animals, interspecies communication and the soulful connections that enrich clinical practice. This pioneering work offers a unique lens on the intersection of analytical psychology, environmental ethics and our relationships with animals. It is essential reading for Jungian analysts, clinicians, students and academics, as well as anyone passionate about the climate emergency and the ethics of human-animal connections.
